Thursday 27 September, Gaucin, cloudy, rain, heavy at times, light-fresh SE wind, 16C: Two days of rain have put paid to any serious birding but a couple of short walks produced 4 Great-spotted Woodpecker and 3 Pied Flycatcher (yesterday along Camino de Avedin), 1 Pied Flycatcher (today along Camino de Los Molinos) and 1 Crested Tit in the pine trees along Cerro de la Joven.
