Saturday 01 September, Gaucin, partly cloudy, light-fresh E wind, 28C: A brief walk down the Camino de Avedin at 1000hrs produced Firecrest, Short-toed Treecreeper, Eurasian Nuthatch, Pied Flycatcher, Eurasian Jay, Great-spotted Woodpecker and Green Woodpecker (heard). During the afternoon there was some Honey Buzzard passage N-S over the centre of Gaucin with 8 moving through at 1500hrs, 35 at 1715hrs and 12 at 1900hrs.
