Highlights of a morning walk through the mixed cork oak and pine woods to the south-east of Gaucin were Griffon Vulture, Common Buzzard, Eurasian Sparrowhawk, Common Kestrel, Great-spotted Woodpecker,
Green Woodpecker, Crag Martin,
House Martin, Eurasian Nuthatch,
Crested Tit and
Firecrest. Around 17:00hrs a Eurasian Sparrowhawk patrolling over Calle del Pino spooked the recently-returned House Martin contingent; 10 of them grouped together quickly for 'safety in numbers'.
