Tuesday 31 May, northern section of Smuggler's route, just past the turning to Estacion de Gaucin, 1700-1800hrs, partly cloudy, fresh NE wind: Several Griffon Vulture, also Booted Eagle, Short-toed Eagle, Nightingale, Blackcap, Iberian Chiffchaff, Cirl Bunting, Corn Bunting, Greenfinch (see photo), Goldfinch and Sardinian Warbler. Looking back towards El Hacho there were distant views of Blue Rock Thrush and a pair of Common Raven mobbing a Peregrine Falcon. Still lots of wildflowers around including Purple Knautia Knautia purpurea (top photo) and Spiked Centaury Centaurium spicatum (bottom photo),
