Sunday 27 March, La Umbria walk, Gaucin, 1130-1330, light westerly breeze, mostly sunny: Starting to feel very Spring-like now with loads of birds in full song. Two groups of 10-12 Bee-eater flew over also Common Buzzard, Griffon Vulture, Booted Eagle, Firecrest, Serin, Great-spotted Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker (heard), Sardinian Warbler and Blackcap. At least 5 Iberian Chiffchaff were heard singing.
