Tuesday 29 May, sunny, light W-SW wind, 30C: On our final morning we took a stroll around the meadows close to Navarredonda and managed to get some close-up views of up to 12 adult and juvenile Citril Finch. In this area we also saw Griffon Vulture, Honey Buzzard, Black Kite, Red Kite, Booted Eagle, Raven, a flock of 20 Common Crossbill, Rock Bunting, Rock Sparrow and a Common Whitethroat that had us all confused for a while with it's unusual song variation. And that was it, time to pack up and start the 7hr drive home to Gaucin via Madrid Barajas airport - what a great week (11 life ticks for me - including some that I really should have had by now!).
