The aim of this blog is to record bird sightings in and around Gaucin. We have a fantastic variety of birds that live in and visit the area and it would be great to have somewhere where we can publish observations for others to see. If you'd like to contribute on a regular basis please ask and I can add you as an author or send me your sightings or other observations by email pmconvento@gmail.com (the usual stuff...date, bird, location, etc.) and I'll add them to the blog. Happy birding! Paul
Tuesday 06 February, Norwich, Norfolk, Uk, partly cloudy, cold, 0C: In the city centre over the last few days have seen a Peregrine around the cathedral spire, Redwing, Long-tailed Tit, flock of 20 Lapwing, Common Gull and a pair of Egyptian Goose. Today went up to Blakeney and Cley - it was extremely cold and made for difficult birding! Did, however, manage to see Knot, Turnstone, Bar-tailed Godwit, Golden Plover, Grey Plover, Ringed Plover, Lapwing, Redshank, Curlew, Oystercatcher, Dunlin, Little Egret, Brent Goose, Red-breasted Merganser, Wigeon, Teal, Common Buzzard and best bird, Twite.
