Friday 08 July 2016, Gaucin, sunny, calm air-light SE wind, 32C

Yesterday was a very atypical July day with intermittent electrical storm activity and even an accumulation of 3mm of rain!
A walk below the village at 08:00hrs on Wednesday morning produced Griffon Vulture, 2 Short-toed Eagle, Booted Eagle, 4 Common Kestrel (good news as they presumably bred below the castle), Golden Oriole (heard), 10+ European Bee-eater, Crag Martin, Woodchat Shrike, Blue Rock Thrush, Sardinian Warbler, Blackcap, Common Nightingale (heard), 2 Hawfinch, Corn Bunting and Cirl Bunting.
Gaucin and Sierra del Hacho from the castle on a breezy Sunday morning
