Birdwatch Gaucin

The aim of this blog is to record bird sightings in and around Gaucin. We have a fantastic variety of birds that live in and visit the area and it would be great to have somewhere where we can publish observations for others to see. Wednesday 13 May 2015, Gaucin, mostly sunny, light SE wind, 31C

A very warm day today, but relatively cool down on the Rio Genal from 0915-1045hrs. Surprisingly, not a single raptor to be seen. Species logged were:
3 Little-ringed Plover, Eurasian Jay, 6 Turtle Dove, Collared Dove, Wood Pigeon, 20+ European Bee-eater, 3 Golden Oriole, Common Swift, Pallid Swift, Barn Swallow, Red-rumped Swallow, White Wagtail, Grey Wagtail, Blackbird, European Robin, Common Nightingale, the first Spotted Flycatcher of the year, Sardinian Warbler, Iberian Chiffchaff, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Chaffinch and Cirl Bunting; Cetti's Warbler was heard.
